AC/DC … with a Standing Axl

June 9, 2009 —

Not that I’m the first to write this, but Axl Rose is everywhere. He made his come-back from Dave Grohl’s throne-chair, but now, he’s standing and walking. I particularly like the intro to this AC/DC show. Let’s hope they live up to it. Personally, I’m still on the fence about a Rose-fronted AC/DC, but like most things, I’ll get used to it. Axl sits for interviews and talks too, saying things that seem mostly predictable, but it’s good to see the effort. I’m pretty sure Axl has to like his life right now.

So, I give you… something to watch (above). Oh and even though I saw it on tv, I didn’t know the moon landing went like this. Darn censorship!

Oh and contradicting himself in UCR (about not doing a third band), Axl seems to be on a freight train of activity also, as the LA Times reported yesterday that Axl said he may record as a supergroup with Slash, Duff McKagan and Angus Young. I didn’t see any word on a name for that venture, but I can think of so many combinations of electricity and guns … or electricity and roses. Gives kind of a different connotation depending on which direction one goes, you know?

Let’s see what happens.
