New Roth Show — DLR Mentions a Van Halen Project

Episode 3, Season 2.

In this episode, David calls his dog; talks to his dog; pets his dog; films his dog; gives a very long speech about the Beach Boys, reminding us that he sang with them and saying it was special to him about three times; puts in clips of himself talking in the past, showing he’s being doing this ad-lib for a very long time; adds clips of random people from Youtube covering Just Like Paradise; tells us he’s come and gone from Japan a few times; runs from a water sprinkler; jokes that America’s favorite sport is war; talks about women; talks about insurance; talks about law.  Oh and he says he’s working on a new top secret project with Van Halen.  He doesn’t give any timeline, but whatever he was singing at about 8:01 showed his voice in pretty good form.  He seems excited about the project, and you can tell it’s in a studio with people, I’m assuming the Van Halen family, because he mentions “people” and wireless microphones.  Personally, I take that as a clue — the project is more “traditional”, meaning they are working together.  I think.  I hope.
