For whatever reason, I like dark sounds, dark photography, so when the trailer for the upcoming movie Dracula Untold, the very long trailer I might add, came up in my morning watch of Youtube music, I actually played the whole trailer because of its dark sound. And who do I hear as the voice of the song? Lorde, covering Everybody Wants to Rule the World, making the 80s song by Tears for Fears into something quite dark. The press is all over on this one, saying it’s not a good sign that the movie would pay Lorde a whole bunch of money to do a song, but personally, I like it when we hear actual playing musicians in movies. But then again, didn’t Hunger Games, Catching Fire already do this very song? So much for THAT press!
