February 6, 2021 — I like Superbowl Sunday, even if I’m not the biggest of football fans. And by that I mean football for the sake of football. I am one of those fans who needs a team to root for. The last few Superbowls have left me a bit “out”, seeing as I was not a Tom Brady fan; indeed not really a fan of much outside of the Cowboys, or perhaps the Rams. This time around though, I’m rooting for Tom Brady. It’s kinda crazy what one year will do. Seriously, that dude used to epitomize the word yucky for me, but since he moved to a relatively nothing team and transformed it, it’s kind of a redemption story for me. And he’s an old dude too, in football years. So I’m full Team-Brady now. Or at least I think I am because like I said, for the last few years, I haven’t been that into the Superbowl.

Honestly, Superbowl Sunday was the most fun for me in 2015. That’s the year I cajoled my brother and sister to drive with me to central Texas (I was in Dallas then) to get my puppy I had found on the Internet. We got to this house and there was little Jasper in a playpen in the living room of this woman’s house. She was my adorable Superbowl Sunday present. So I think I’ll dedicate this one to her.

And speaking of Jasper, what is she really into right now, you know seeing as she absolutely doesn’t care what team wins? Food! What Jasper would be most excited about would be whatever food is served tomorrow. And no, I’m not sure what that will be, but then again, I’m thinking, from looking at that map (my cover photo) that most of the country has bad taste, well except for Nevada, pigs in the blanket are good, and perhaps anyone wanting chili; they have good taste too. The cake for people of Texas or whatever dip for people in California is not working for me. Yes, I think that’s it. I’m going to be an honorary Nevadan because pigs in the blanket will do just fine. Seriously though, people have to Google how to make that?

Oh and there’s halftime.

The Weeknd aka Abel. And I know his name is Abel because Lana Del Rey used to say that all the time about two albums ago; he was on that record. I know he has said that he isn’t having a guest star, but how unbelievably cool would it be if he did, and that guest was Lana; for me anyway. Then again, he was just a back-up to her, and since he has spent $7 million to make whatever this show will be — the details of which he isn’t disclosing, I doubt he would feature her song. Oh, but I will….

And for all my people. I know it’s a dream not realized, but it truly would be good if AC/DC was indeed the act. Now if only I could figure out how to put Lana in there with AC/DC, I would be set!
