I like the story of this song. The song writer based it on a news story about a father who kept his son’s truck and drove it as a reminder of his son. I give credit to the songwriter who was so moved by the story of this father’s remembrance of his son who fell in battle that she wrote this song. I give credit to the song for reaching number 1 some years back. This song never gets old for me.

Personally, I think this is a song about celebrating life. So while we spend our long weekend celebrating life, be sure to play some Van Halen. Because you never know. If David Lee Roth hears you, he might just knock on your door and say hi, complete with his film crew.
