April 10, 2020 – Happy Easter weekend to all of you. I’m going to keep it simple for this week. I feel like I’ve been a bit complex lately, so I think it’s good to relax a bit.
I do have a suggestion from YouTube; it’s a story of the history of Coachella. I doubt this is something for everyone here, but if you take the time to watch (I’ve watched about half of it), you’ll see a whole bunch of things about the types of music you might not appreciate, but yet understand where it came from and how it got so big. Just so you know, this is a weird watch for me because I’m one stage of separation from half of the people in this video, but then again I started in the rep of EDM people, or my one key one, in 2000, and was right there with it. There’s a person being interviewed in here who’s in a room that I’ve been in for meetings; I’m definitely one person away from that person, although seeing as I’ve been in that room too, perhaps not even one stage of separation. I suppose I don’t feel like giving the details because it doesn’t matter, but there is a part of me, a tiny part of me, that wishes the events I was involved in had worked at this level, that the large events I was involved in made it past the stage of losing money, and they do lose a lot of money at first, because I would totally be in a different position now. Seriously, watching the first part of this video, I basically felt like I was watching a mirror of separate events in my own life. Oh to have had the angels these people at Goldenvoice (the promoter of Coachella) had for the people in my life. Then again, if Goldenvoice was ever small, it does make one think. Anyway, Happy Easter to everyone. And if you’re so inclined, this is an interesting watch.
A crazy thought side-note: since I’ve been cooking constantly, could I possibly make a cake as cute as my cover picture? Mind you, no food I make ever looks good. I would fail the plating challenge of any cooking show, but if I was ever able to make anything pretty, I would like to make that pretty cake. It just looks so Easter! So, have a slice, kick back, and have a really, really great Easter weekend doing the hibernation thing we are all doing.
