October 30, 2016 — I’ve always loved Halloween. It’s the gateway to the big holidays, unless you’re Home Depot or those craft stores and then it’s full-on Christmas right now. So I say, ignore the Christmas and do Halloween right! Personally, I like the orange lights, and I LOVE costumes! That even goes for the costumes of my girlhood when we had whatever we were costumed as under heavy coats and boots; oh the wonder that was Calgary.
Happy trick or treating, happy costuming, and if you are in the costume mood, try one for the audience of your fur-friends, especially if you’re like me and live in a neighborhood where it’s impossible to trick or treat — too many big hills, too many … coyotes.
And that brings be back to dogs. As for costumes for a dog audience, you have to love a dog who appreciates a “new” toy … or a bigger version of his favorite toy. I ask though… do they make a Harley Quinn dog toy? I guess that will be the audience for my costume, so that’s what I need… a Harley Quinn dog toy. But then again, nothing will ever be that blue whatever that was, the whatever I bought for my little Tyson that he took everywhere, and guarded in his sleep, the toy that, sadly, is no more.
Happy Halloween to you and yours … and to our furries!
