Game Theory: that’s a current popular concept in business, forget that… interpersonal relationships, where one person tries to self-motivate another to do what the first person wants. It’s not really my style, hence I’m not … rich. Nevertheless, I like this little feature in the Wall Street Journal on game theory adapting a new book and comparing precedents of successful game theorists: King Solomon (the Bible-king who resolved a conflict between two women who both claimed a baby was theirs by threatening to cut the baby in half with the victor between these women being the one who said “no way”) and … David Lee Roth (who despite the view of excess in saying “no brown M&Ms”, included that contract requirement that so that stage rigging would be set up safely and according to contract specifications, get the “no brown” right, get the stage right). While that’s pretty much “it” on the reference to David Lee Roth, how cool is it that David Lee Roth is an example for the Wall Street Journal? Thanks to Rev for this pointer on my very favorite Ducks, Unicorns and Dragons page! And Rev? Pass me the stock section… I need to see how the markets are doing this morning!
