Wonder why you haven’t heard any announcement that Def Leppard  will tour this summer? 

Well according to the Los Angeles radio station I listen to, we will, and the announcement will come next week.  Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell addressed rumors that the tour will be a double bill between either Kiss or Poison, with his statement to Tickets There, and as lifted by me from Ultimate Classic Rock: “I’d say you’d be half right there, but only half right and half wrong.”  Apparently, the gossip about Poison comes from statements made last year, but I doubt it’s going to happen given the comments of Poison drummer Rikki Rockett (you have to be in a band with that name, right?) said at NAMM that Poison will not be touring this summer.  That leaves the gossip about Kiss, but I can’t find anything about who said what about that.  So I’m thinking Viv statements  — “half right and half wrong” — mean it’s just Leps doing it alone.  Either way, I predict we’ll know next Tuesday.

Summer 2014, Def Leppard!  I really must have money for this one!
